For those of you who must avoid sugar, nearly all of these recipes have been used by substituting Splenda or a Splenda blend of 2/3 Splenda and 1/3 brown sugar.  Be sure the brown sugar is 'real'.  C&H is the only one I have found that says it is not white sugar sprayed with molasses.
