At my children’s school I heard the angels sing.
In that moment Christmas did suddenly spring
Into my sore heart so overwhelmed and rushed.
I resented going to such childish fare
To hear children fumble, and stuttering sing,
yet went knowing they needed me to be there.
They came out on the stage, voices sweet and true
In some miraculous way making carols ring.
My heart sore pressed was soothed and opened to Him.
Looking back I remember it as precious,
a most Wondrous time. In
memory I cling
To that best Christmas program that I‘ve ever seen.
