2 ½ cups sugar
½ cup light corn syrup
½ cup water
¼ tsp salt
2 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla
½ cup chopped nuts
Boil 1st 4 ingredients to
260◦.
Beat egg white to stiff peaks. When syrup is ready add vanilla and nuts. Pour into egg whites while mixing at high speed.
Beat until it starts to lose its gloss. Pour into buttered glass 11 x 9 pan. Cool. Cut into squares to serve.
