2½ qts popped corn
1 lb brown sugar
½ cup corn syrup
½ cup water
½ cup butter
2 tsp salt
1 tbsp vanilla
1 cup peanuts
Cook sugar, syrup, water,
butter and salt to soft crack stage 290◦. Add vanilla. In large buttered bowl, mix nuts and popcorn. Pour syrup over nuts and popcorn. Spread
out on buttered cookie sheets. Break into clusters with 2 forks and cool. Tastes like cracker jacks.
