2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper, white or
black
1 cup milk
1 cup grated cheese
Melt butter in saucepan over
low heat. Blend in flour, salt, pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Remove
from heat. Stir in milk and cheese. Heat to boiling. Continue stirring constantly until right consistency.
Makes 1 1/2 cups.
