1/2 cup butter

1 cup sugar

1 cup water

2 tbsp cornstarch

1/4 to 1/2 cup cocoa powder

1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Mix and cook all but vanilla. When sauce is thick add vanilla. Serve warm on pound, yellow or white cake.  Also good on ice cream.
