1 part apples
1 part carrots
2 parts green tomatoes
Grind these with coarse grind
and make enough to nearly fill a 4 gallon container.
Add:
2 lbs raisins
8 cups sugar
3 tbsp cinnamon
2 cups ground suet (beef
or pork fat)
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 tbsp salt
1 ½ tsp ground cloves
2 ½ tsp nutmeg
1 tsp ginger
Simmer until thickened. Put
in pint jars leaving 1 head space. Process in pressure canner at 15 lbs pressure for 25 minutes.
