4 cup flour

¼ cup sugar

1 tbsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

1/3 cup butter

1 cup raisins

1 cup chopped nuts

1½ cup sour milk (add 1 tsp lemon juice to   milk to sour)

1 egg, beaten

 

Mix all ingredients. Shape into 2 round loaves. Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 325◦ for about 40-50 minutes.
