recipe was in Grandma Knox’s hand writing. Grandma Parson was Grandma Knox’s sister Laura’s Mother-in-law.
1 cup
sugar or splenda
1 cup
molasses
½ cup
oil
1 tsp
cinnamon
1 tsp
cloves
1 tsp
ginger
1 tsp
soda
1 tsp
salt
1 cup
strong coffee (I use Pero)
2½ cups
flour
2 eggs
Mix all
ingredients. Pour into greased, floured 8 x 8 pan. Bake at 350◦ about 35 mm. Serve with whipped cream.
