Stuffed Green Peppers

6 medium green peppers

3/4 cup rice

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion chopped

1-8 oz can tomato sauce

¼ tsp each dried basil, oregano, and thyme

½ tsp salt

1/8 tsp pepper

½ tsp beef bouillon powder

Cut tops off peppers and remove seeds.

Cook rice according to package directions. In a skillet, brown beef and onion. Drain. Add tomato sauce, herbs, salt and pepper. Cook 5 minutes. Stir in rice. Stuff peppers with the rice mixture. Place upright in a shallow baking dish. Bake at 350 for about 25 or 30 minutes.

These freeze well for leftovers.
