Tamale Pie

 

1 lb ground beef

1 chopped onion

1 chopped bell pepper

2 cups tomato sauce or canned chopped tomato

1 small pkg frozen corn

1 can ripe olives, drained

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tsp salt

2 tsp chili powder

dash of pepper

 

Brown meat. Add other ingredients. Put in a casserole dish. Cover with cheese topping.

 

Cheese topping:

 

1 lb grated cheese

3/4 cup cornmeal

1/2 tsp salt

2 1/2 cup water

1 tbsp butter

 

Boil until thickened stirring constantly. Put cheese topping over meat mixture in casserole. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
